Hi Charlie Having listened to many sound files on various Shadows sites I feel other people get more sustain than I do. On my EFTP G7.1ut only the complex patch U4-4 comes with compression. Do I need compression when using this unit or should the patches be enough. My sound engineer skills are zero, if you still have access to this unit can you offer an 'allround' compressor setting that would be ok for most Shads type tunes, it comes with 3 types Compressor, RackComp and Limiter. I don't know where to start Regards Glen

Hi Glen, It seems that more and more players are using a compressor. The compressor settings for patch U4-4 are: Rack Comp Threshold 22 Ratio 8 Attack 6 Level 48 These settings can be added to any of my G7 patches. While I don't think my settings provide excessive compression, to reduce the amount of compression set the threshold to a lower setting and set the level to a higher setting to compensate. Regards, Charlie

Charlie Many thanks for your help I'll try and experiment around the basic settings you suggest. Glen
