Charlie, what is the difference "sound-wise" between the RFX2000 with EFTP and the Quad GT with EFTP, and would it be worth changing?

The programs for the GT have better EQ settings for the echo signal (to shape the mid range hump), while the RFX units have a simple high cut filter, and the GT also features wow as in wow and flutter because of the ability to use a flange effect (with the direct signal at zero) at the same time. None of the Zoom units I have seen have any pitch facility for simulating wow at the same time as using multitaps. Regards, Charlie

It's actually a Plus with EFTP Charlie, and I've bought it. Wise choice? This is to go with the Magic Stomp.

Hi Kevin, Not quite as good but the same digital effects in both. They can be quite noisy. Regards, Charlie

Thanks for that Peter. This is an original with the upgrade to "Plus." Actually, I meant as a back-up for the Stomp, but as you say...............it does give food for thought.

What midi box are you using?

Hi Watty, Before you purchased the files you told me everything worked fine, so I assume your adaptor is OK, although if using other than the recommended Edirol adaptor it still could be that. In the editor program you must set the MIDI connections to match for MIDI in and MIDI out. In those settings there may be more than one option, probably for the MIDI adaptor you are using and whatever they are, they must match. The MIDI out cable must connect to MIDI in of the RFX and the MIDI in cable must connect to MIDI out of the RFX so check for the correct connections. If no RFX are found, then the Online button will not turn yellow. Regards, Charlie

Hi Watty, Glad to know you sorted it. I wouldn't have known that as I never used the Edirol. I recommend it because I have heard so many others give the same advice. Regards, Charlie
