This was posted yesterday on a fellow site....sad news
Hello Friends,
This afternoon I received a phone call from my friend Pete Korving that made my hair stand on end.
Peter just came home from the hospital having had surgery. As far as I know about a week ago Peter had a head on collision. He passed out and suffered some memory loss. His right arm was broken in several places and the breaks had to be pinned.
The left side of his body was severely bruised so he is in much pain. When he tries to move every joint in his body aches. He need the use of a wheelchair and somebody's help to get around.
At the moment we have no idea how long it will take to recover from his injuries. He did say to the doctor before he went into surgery "I don't care what you do to me as long as I can still play the guitar".
I'm sure an angel was sitting on his shoulder as it could have been much worse!
So my friends I would really appreciate your support for Pete. Perhaps you can send him a line through this site or send him an email at: pk.tracks-backingtracks@hotmail.com and wish him a speedy recovery.
Peter if you are able to read this I wish you a speedy recovery and hope that soon you'll be able to play your guitar so we can all once again enjoy your music

I am sad to hear of this, especially that I seem to remember that Pete had an accident on his moped not many years ago.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, Pete.
Regards, Charlie

I am sad to hear of this, especially that I seem to remember that Pete had an accident on his moped not many years ago. He did, and had a broken shoulder... He gave some news to David Martin on Shadow Music, and thanks all of those who sent him recovery wishes. Didier
