Hi, I'm thinking of buying an amp modeller and would like your advice on wheather to go for the Line 6 Pod or the Behringer V Amp.
Many thanks,
Maurice.

Hi,
If its the early Vox sound you want, check out the Tech 21 Liverpool pedal before you spend your money.
They do have other pedals for different sounds. They are all good, and you do not have to use an amp. Go straight into your P.A. I use mine with the speaker sim off and into a Vox AC4TV head and cabinet.
I tried them all before I found the Tech 21 range. Ain't it always the same! The last one is the one you like the most.
Cheers
Alan H

A comparison between Line6 Pod & V Amp has been posted here.
I have two POD's an original Kidney bean POD 2 and my POD XT PRO rackmount. If you want a good cheap modeller then the POD 2's are excellent value. I use the rack in my studio because of the large number of connections I want.
So my totally biased view is go for the POD.
PS 95% of my posts are done with the POD XT PRO.
Mike.

www.4shared.com/document/J_IoGI8B/LINE_6_POD_-_BEHRINGER_V_AMP_P.htmlHi Maurice, Try the link above,it may help your decision. If you were thinking of downloading Tony's'(Tonybiker)files the V-amp 3 will not accommodate them. Tony will no doubt confirm this. I have just purchased a V-amp pro and find it very easy to use and programme but you must judge for yourself.this is just meant to help. Best Wishes, Garry.

Many thanks for all your replies and to Tony for the comparison on the V amp pro and the line 6 pro which as usual made very interesting reading. I wonder if it would it be the same result between the V amp 2 and the line 6 pod XT as these are the units I have been looking at. Any opinions would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Maurice.

After further research I have discovered that both the Behringer and Line6 Pro models have the same effects as the standard ones, so please ignore my last post and accept my apologies for asking a daft question Best regards, Maurice.
