HI ALL ,,I have a NEW-TOY,, HA.HAAr , Thanks first of all to Roger Bayliss ,for alerting me to this medium ,, with a comment on a GR55 ,, I asked him a question & BILL- - [administator ] posted some info on these Units [thanks BILL] I -PM'd Bill and it went from there .. I dicovered Bill has a roland GR33 & helped me with Links & valuable info on the various models .. after much checking revies etc I came to the conclusion that the GR33 was the most poular unit prior to the GR55 release .. I then went hunting used units on the Net as the new GR55 was too expensive for me as a toy !! After much browsing I found a GR33 &GK2 package in Australia by posting a wanted to buy on a victorian [adjacent state to mine in OZ] buy sell music forum [''MELBAND'']. I now have it here & have not yet had time to really try-it out fully !! I fitted the GK2 hex Pick-up onto my Project Squier & am blown away with the very good tracking it has .. I will have a Ball with this when time permits ,I have only 1x project to coplete and thenI am going to enjoy myself playing some music ,as I have built so many projects IT's time for a BREAK from that side of my hobby!! CHEERS to ALL & THANKYOU -''BILL;; for all the help Given,, BARRY..

Interesting guitar, Barry, Now are you sure you have enough switches on there? I think there's room for a few more.

Hi Barry, I have the gr20 model that is really easy to understand. I also had the gr30 but found it too difficult to operate. Once you have all your favourite sounds, move them so that they are all together, then you can use the gk2 controller to access them. You will have fun with this Barry, enjoy!!! Just remembered that I did this video with the gr20. youtu.be/4ot8anr1oY8Regards, Jim.

Hi Barry. think you gonna love this unit. i have had mine for about 2 yrs. only difference i can see is the pick up. mine looks more like a pup. and is marked GK 2a. however its a bit mind boggling to work out. but the SOUNDS you can get out of it will blow you away. from 12 string to trumpet full orchestra. just a matter of putting it all together !!!!!!!! regards Lou

I have the GR-20 with the GK-3 p/u, which came between the GR-33 and GR-55 and it's an amazing piece of kit. The important thing is getting the distance between strings and p'u correct and then adjusting the sensitivity. You'll have hours of pleasure I'm sure.

Nice one Barry ! you are going to have fun with it I am sure ! One of the things that I heard Ecca doing was mixing two sounds together on the GR55 such as guitar and piano. Not sure if this one will but have a look in case.
I bought a Korg PA500 Keyboard some months back and the sounds in it are amazing. I was editing the Theme from Thunderbirds this week and it sounds very good I might post it !
Have fun with the toy Barry.

HI ALLAN,, Thanks for your interest mate ,,, i did follow the set-up from the extensive Manual [137 pages],& yes the sensitivity adjustments seem a Must-do opperation ,have set it up OK here but will check all those things again when time permits,,.. SAying that i was most surprised at how well it does track as it is now .. i believe the GK3 is the same electrically as the GK2A ,but the GK3 has curviture adjustment for various neck profiles??? YES Alan it will be hours of Fun once I get the Time Soon... CHEERS MATE ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BARRY..
