Twice in the last three days, shortly after logging onto this site, my security software (Avast) has given a warning about an attempted malware infection: URL: inisetdamp.net/8zAm0fJCMTstfkpnda... Process: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexpl... Infection: URL:Mal Has anyone else noticed this? Regards DaveC

Hi DaveC
Yes, AVG security picked up a problem on my pc after logging on here too. Must admit I didn't cotton to the fact it was the site itself.

Hi Mick,
It might not be the site. It could be Proboards or just coincidence.
But that's three. Anyone else?

I am using Norton, and have been warned that attack on my PC has been stopped by Norton.
But does this have something to do with the comercials on proboard?

FWIW. I use Google Chrome with an ad-blocking app. My AV - Kaspersky - isn't complaining about anything... could be the ads? Julian

Hi All,
The ads on Proboard could well be the cause. I haven't had another one since, so it could just be a coincidence.

Hi all As others have said, it's probably only the ads causing a false positive alert. We've had this a few times with Proboards over the last couple of years. However if you are concerned about the 'ieplore virus' there is loads of information if you google it and also suggestions on how to get rid of it. There is even a YouTube video. Hope this helps. Regards Barry
