Hi Ian, It doesn't sound like Hank's usual sound. My guess is middle and bridge pickups together. Regards, Charlie

Hi Ian
According to Charlie's listing for the MagicStomp it's the middle pickup, hope that helps.
Regards
Gary

Haven't played it in a while, but I used bridge and neck (on a Burns). and that sounded nice.

Thanks guys. I've just tried the middle+bridge and middle alone and both sound good but the split pups (on Kinman FV's anyway) have it for me. cheers ian ps - Hi Charlie - good to see you on the board again.

Hi Ian, I also use neck + bridge with the tone rolled off quite a bit and MS EFTP patch 23. Though based on The Shads' arrangement mine is a bit more jazzy including the full 2 verse intro, but I think that combo would also sound good with the straight Shads' version. cheers George

What a neat idea, George! I have that pickup combination on a pull pot on my Brason Strat and can roll off Bridge tone too. I'll give it a try later on. Cheers ian

Hi Ian, I play this a lot and the closest I've got is middle and neck. Hope this helps Btw, I think I've nailed the intro no after my embarrassing attempt at Warwick a couple of years ago! Cheers, CC
