I'm thinking of getting a Vox Vt20+ amplifier and would appreciate any comments from members I already have a zoom G2.1nu with eftp and would like to know how they work together. Cheers Pete

Hi Pete, I've had one of the older Vox VT15's from new for a couple of years and together with my Zoom G2Nu it gives me a Shadows sound that I'm extremely happy with. I only play in my living room and find that the 15 amps is more than enough. There is a lot of settings on these amps to keep you busy such as AC30 simulation etc. At the moment I'm just using the amp clean and using the simulation in Charlie's patches.
If I was in the market for a new amp I wouldn't hesitate in buying a VT20+, the build quality is also excellent.
Ian

hi i agree that the vt15 etc are great amps but as far as the vt20+is concerned please try one out before you buy and do a google search for vox vt20+ hiss there are hundreds of posts about it one of my friends bought a vt20+ yes the amp sims are great and the effects useful but it developed a very bad hiss within a couple of days he sent it back and got a replacement that also hissed and when he tried out his headphones the hiss was gone but then disconnected the headphones and no sound from amp that amp went back they replaced it with another vt20+ which hissed straight out of the box even with no guitar or cable connected he got his money back and has since bought a second hand vt30 i am not saying that all vt20+ amps are bad but my friend had three bad ones i have seen lots of demos on you tube where the amp sounds great and know someone else that has one and it works fine so not all of them are bad i just thought i would warn you i don`t think the build quality and quality control on the new vt+ series is as good as the old vt series hope you get an amp you like i can highly recommend the the old style vox vt15/vt30 the amp sims are excellent and are vey reliable i still have a vt15 for home use and its great for shadows songs regards tuftyrock
