A few weeks ago a member posted that he was unable to get a Vox Tone that he was happy with using his Pod Pro. I own one as well, the knob twiddling kind and as its quite old and I don't have the DeepEdit software any longer, I have to rely on only my ears. This is the result using a simple bedroom setup on two of the shadows early pieces that showed HBM's superb touch. If this is anywhere near what the original OP wants to use as a starting point I will be happy to PM between us, as it may be an ongoing thing. If this is posted in the wrong section will Admin kindly move to correct location. Ian www.4shared.com/mp3/2OpmeA99/02_Sleepwalk_2012b.htmlwww.4shared.com/mp3/q4RqCL-Z/03_Peace_Pipe_2012a.html

Hi Ian,
Two very nice numbers and very well played. I am amazed. The 'Sleepwalk' sound is about the closest to the original Shadows recording sound that I have ever heard. Well done indeed.
I have a Line 6 Pod HD and no matter how I twiddle the knobs I cannot get anywhere near that sound. Perhaps the difference is what it's plugged into?
Kind regards Roger

Hi Roger
Thank you for listening to my recording and your much appreciated comment.
The equipment I use is a CIJ '62 type Strat with Fenders '57/62 pickups and 9-46 Dean Markley strings, into the original Mk1 Pod Pro through a Quad+ using EFTP and straight into a Fostex Hd recorder. I make a cd from the recording and copy to my laptop.
A simple setup which I am happy with.
Regards Ian

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the info. It's a totally different line-up to mine.
My line-up:- Guitar->MagicStomp Effects->Pod HD->BOSS MICRO BR digital recorder->Powered speaker monitor.
Guitar is either an original 1979 US Strat, or a modified Squier 'Simon Neil' Strat. Both are fitted with D'Addario 10-46 strings.
Kind regards Roger

Hi Roger
Can you post or PM me a sound file to give me some idea of what sound you're getting. Can't say I'll be able to help but we may be able to put our heads together and get somewhere.
I don't think it's your equipment as it all seems first class. I had a '79 strat which had an amazing tone through some very basic kit.
Regards Ian
