Hi Peter
I have an AC4TV and it's great for home use.
Although the ESE totally overloads it and is unusable, the magicstomp and the Q20 are fine
cheers Mark.

Hi Peter My experience with the AC4 tv (10" speaker) is that it is a great sounding amp @4w when working at a decent volume. At low (bedroom) volumes @ 4w the "hum" is intrusive & makes it unusable as a low volume recording amp although the underlying "Vox tone" is still there if you can ignore the background hum & buzz Using the attenuator to reduce the volume also reduces the hum to very acceptable levels but "sucks" the tone in my opinion. The model I had was an early one, (2009 manufactured) the later models have had some changes made to reduce hum & noise & should be quieter than the version I had. There are "mods" described in forums & kits for sale that do address these problems. I think Amanda (valve whiz) also did some work on one of these ? Nice amp, but (early models) spoiled for me by the very noticeable hum at low volumes on standard setting as well as the cheap cab (nice speaker though ) Cheers Dick. have a look here for some more on this subject charliehall.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=amps&action=display&thread=14043

Hi Istvan
If the amp you have is the newer version they do suffer less from the "hum" I encountered with the amp I had (2009 model)
However l do not subscribe to the "it's a valve amp so there is always going to be hum" way of thinking Valve amps can be made to run with minimum hum & buzz if designed & produced correctly
Hum also seems to bother some people more than others.... hum does bother me quite a lot, more so because I know it does not have to be there.
Dick.
