Hi all
has anyone ever come across a miller beer strat? made in mexico 2004-2005. just got one for a very good price. plays well and sounds very nice indeed. Im interested in finding out the spec, particularly the pick ups. although the hardware is distinctly standard (the usual poor quality trem block will be the first mod) the rest of the guitar seems to be better than the run of the mill MIM. Black body with a small red miller logo, maple neck, headstock logos are standard MIM as far as i can see.
anyone seen one of these?
regards Ian

Hi Peter
I have also seen the USA versions which are far more colourful. I have been told that these may have been "given away" for whatever reason and are possibly something to do with the miller "strat pack" concert. Apparently only 70 were made and were not available to buy! I used it live for the first time last night and it sounded a touch bright. had to keep the tone wound back for rhythm guitar work but it sounded great for shads stuff
cheers Ian

Hi Lou thanks for taking the time to look this up i had seen this but mine is none of these. the more i look into it the more it appears it was given away as part of the strat pack 50th anniversary celebration. Not sure what the criteria was for receiving one was but at the moment the only info i have found suggests they were given to the "other guys" involved in the concert such as backstage crew, engineers and the like. it would be interesting to find someone who received one but im not going to hold my breath cheers Ian
