I have been looking at the Yamaha Pacifica range of guitars and was wondering if anyone has or had one and what they sounded like? The model I personally like is the 311H in vintage white.I would appreciate any thoughts or comments, Good or Bad, from members or anyone. Not just for Shadows tunes but in general. Hi Pete, yes I had one a while ago, I cant remember the specific model number but it was well built and did what it says on the box, sounded quite good with bridge humbucker and 2 singles , in my opinion tho the Mex strat is much better unless its just that I have spent more time on the Mex with set-up, strings, etc etc: BTW , the graphic EQ came yesterday and it is better than I expected, it really gives a wide range of tones and colours the sound quite a bit, I am pleased with it, it has got me one step closer to the sound I want to achieve:

Hi Pete
I had one of the older ones a log time ago and regret selling it. I have been watching quite a few of late on the well known auction site in the hope of picking up a bargain but still havnt taken the plunge. there are a load of models and to be honest im not sure what the differences are. The one i had was much the same as they are to this day, SSH layout, very nice neck too as i remember. take a trip to your local music shop and try a few is what i always advise
regards Ian
