I have been struggling to get the right settings for my newly acquired Vox AC15 CC1X to get any where near "That Sound" so I asked Chas Campbell (CC) (Geronimo) for some advice, now I think I am close, thanks CC please see what you think Regards Tony app.box.com/s/z88oztle9b80yyllajgo

Hi Tony. well I think if you can get the Highs down just a little. [ thin and shrill sound ] you got a very good sound for a live amp sound. and your not that far off. all in all very good. Regards Lou

What pick up were you using Tony? It sound to me like the bridge, but it should be played on the neck pick up. If I'm wrong about this you could try backing off your guitar volume a touch. I have mine set between 8 and 9 on one guitar, on 9 on the other, and it warms the tone considerably. You need to do it gradually to find the spot - too far sounds just as bad in the other direction.
Tone aside, it was very nicely played.

No Len, I am using the neck Pup, so I will try and reduce the volume a little and mess with the tone slightly, thanks for the tips and feed back Regards Tony

Hi Tony,
Very well played and nice palm muting. In my opinion there's not much wrong with your sound but I'm fairly new to this. Overall I would give it a big thumbs up.
Regards
Kevin

Hi Tony,
Nice sound and well played. Don't hear any issues with the sound on my headphones so I'd say well done.
Cheers, Martyn
