Try garage band it's already on the iPad and has Vox amp sims and a few others and 4 multiple delays , the sounds are pretty good .

If you don't mind paying a little bit extra, and all you're looking for is an Amp sim, I can recommend Bias from Positive Grid.
It come with some good Vox types, but you can customise them until your heart's content.
Well worth the money, I created a AC15, AC30 and Matchless type for my early/late Shadows sounds.

I would go along with what Tim as suggested you can play with valves and twiddle knobs to your hearts content. John H

Hi Tim, Your comments have intrigued me so have taken the plunge and installed the App. Now what? Any tips about which amp to choose and the settings you have discovered provide the desired sound? Can you output from the iPad to an external physical amp? Can a BT be played on the iPad while playing lead through BIAS? Sorry, this is all a bit new to me....yet another learning curve to negotiate Regards, Mike

Hi Mike,
Have a look at the Clean and Glassy sims supplied. You can find good starting points in there. It's then just a case of experimenting with different settings, valves, etc. to get the sound you want.
The output can be taken from the iPad's headphone socket. I tend to go into either powered speakers or the Aux In on my Vox DA5 or iPod dock. It depends which room I'm in. Remember, the iPad's doing all the amp sim for you, so you don't want to colour the sound coming out any further.
Yes, you can play BT's on the iPad whilst using the amp sim, set Background option on in Bias settings. Have a look at my previous thread 'iPad for Backing Tracks' for some useful info. However, you will need to kill Bias when you've finished using the double tap and swipe up.
Hope this helps,
Tim.

Hi Dave,
One Track doesn't support lyrics like StageTraxx.
I mainly bought because it did everything I wanted, plus it has support for AirTurn pedals.
