I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem. A few months ago I bought 10 Bts and Tabs from Roger Paulsson which I am very pleased with. My problem is when trying to play Rogers version I am redirected to 4 shared and although I have an account it will not open the file but asks me to sign up to something called ilivid which I don't really want to do as I am not familiar with this site. When The BTs first arrived they would play without being redirected. Sent an email to Roger about 2 months ago but up to now he has not responded. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Maurice.

Hi Maurice, It sounds like the sound files have been assigned in Windows (if you use a Windows computer) to a different player. Note the file extension of the sound files eg. mp3 or wav etc., then look at changing the file type for that extension to assign it to the player you want to use. I think it would be found in folder options. While you're there you will probably see what player is already assinged to the file and this may give you an idea of what has happened. I'm not expert at this but it's what I would try first. Regards, Charlie

It sounds as if he has sent you a link and you have not actually downloaded the files to your PC Maurice. When it redirects you to 4 shared can you click on the option for "Get this File" then select the Slow download option and you will have to wait while it counts down the 20 seconds then it will have a bar at the bottom of the screen giving you an option to run or save. Click on the small black triangle to the right of Save and it will have a Save As option where you can browse for the folder that you want to save it in on your PC. Was it a single link he sent you for all the tracks and tabs or one for each track and another for each tab ? If its a single link then you will get them all in one go if they are all individual then you will have to repeat the process for each one I would avoid downloading or signing up for Livid as it will change your web defaults and add toolbars and other unnecessary stuff, although it isn't supposed to be a virus or malware.

Hi all. I get the same problem if I want to download from 4 shared. Someone sent me a link for some photos they had stored there plus a couple of mp3's. When I clicked download, ilivid popped up. I had a tentative look at what was going to be installed, even deselecting the items I didn't want but it didn't make any difference. Sandra is right, it wants to take over your pc. Cheers, Graham

Hi Charlie, Sandra and Graham, Thank you for your replies. On closer examination of the problem it looks like the files have expired which is obviously why they can't be opened. It never occurred to me that Roger would put a time limit on the downloads so will make sure everything is done at once in future Best regards, Maurice.

Hi Steve,
I e-mailed Roger about 6 weeks ago and as yet have not had a reply. I wanted the downloads to familiarise myself with the tunes but have since discovered the samples on his website so this this will be fine.
Best regards,
Maurice.

Hi,
I have bought quite a few of Roger's BT's and I have always found that his service is top class. He usually responds very quickly to any communication or order. Furthermore, I have always found him most helpful. A month ago my computer was affected by a series of power outages which required me to restore my system. I found that I had not backed-up and had lost 10 tracks I had purchased from Roger before Xmas. I told him of my predicament and he very kindly made copies of those BT's available to me again without charge - and with a very speedy reply. Full Marks. So, if you have any problem I recommend highly that you get in touch with him and I am sure he will help you out.
Cheers
Ian

As suggested by Steve (Fender7) and Ian (Scouserjoe) I sent Roger another e-mail and he replied very quickly along with the sound files. Ian was correct saying Roger is very helpful he gets full marks from me also. What a pleasant change to deal with someone who puts his customers first.
Best regards,
Maurice.

My first e-mail must have gone astray as the last one was answered within hours of sending. Thank you for your concern. Best regards, Maurice.
