None of the above!! Lol! But I can heartily recommend The Bootleg Shadows. Great, accurate Shads material and a lots of fun Show. No association with them - we just had a good time. Cheers Ian

Hi Pete
I've seen the Bootleg Shadows and can endorse Ian's comments.
The Silver Shadows include a couple of members of this and 'the other' forum but they rarely post.
They are really good and their lead guitarist is awesome - despite being left handed! Unfortunately they don't do many gigs these days and when they do it's mainly in the South East so a bit far for you to travel.
Cheers.
Tony

I know Brian Haycock lead guitar and vocals from the Silver Shadows, He is an excellent lead guitarist and is a left hooker, Brian also plays lead and vocals in a Rock n Roll band "Rock Of Ages" who are on the social clubs circuit and have made 2 albums when Steve Swann was lead. The Silver Shadows have also played at the 'Pipe Line' convention.

There are many more Shadows' tribute bands than those listed on this site !
I have heard the "Silver Shadows" when visiting the Surrey Shadows Club in 2011 and 2012, and they are quite good.

Didier, that's called "damning with faint praise" Perhaps they weren't on top form when you saw them! Cheers. Tony

There are many great Shadows tribute bands, for your "really big SHOT of Shadow Music" Justin Daish and The Shadowers has to be high on the list!

The Undercover Shadows did the Frimley "Shadowmania" replacement event last year. They were very good.

Trouble is, there are more Shadows tribute bands than there are venues interested enough to book them, Most pubs/clubs that I have been to ask do you sing songs?

There was a band called "STIFF PILCHARD" knocking around in the late 90's. They were on the same lines as the Baron Knights and took the p---s out of Cliff and the Shadows in a very clever and funny way. However, its only fair to mention that other well known singers got the same treatment from Stiff Pilchard. Needless to say, they got quite a few bookings around the club circuit.

Gary Very Much So Gary Justin certainly captures the Shadows sound very well.I think I read somewhere that he was trying to put together a Tour now the The Shadows have finished touring. That should be something really worth going to. Thanks for your reply. Pete

Thank You Peter A Week-End Shadows Tribute comes to mind but who would go to the time consuming and difficult lengths to organise such a event and where would it be held. Before anyone says why not me I would not know where to start. Pete I believe there will be one up in Cheshire around June time (see Hank MArvin Sound and Technical website) and there will be the ex-Shadowmania "Do" at Frimley. AND if you can make the trip - the one in Newcastle on Tyne is a good one too. Ian
