I've recently noticed that some Burns Bison models have what looks like two pickup selector switches. The switches that I mean are the lever type (not rotary) and I am curious as to what selections are available in that case. Some examples can be seen on this website :- www.trevormidgley.com/BurnsGuitars/Bison.html

I understand Strat switching but why are there two such switches on some Bison models?

Hi Roger I think the double 3 way switch setup was introduced on the last Burns Bisons in '64/65 - and continued under the Baldwin name. What the pickups selections are I haven't studied in details - but I know there's a schem drawn by Peter Van der Sande based on one of Alfons Lahaye's original Bisons (both gentlemen dutch Burns collectors). Ufortunately I can't remember where I've seen it, or if I have it archived somewhere. I can take a look if you want?
