I have a Brason Strat (copy of Hank Marvin 40th Anni Strat) made in 2006. Awesome guitar. He is still making guitars and I believe you need to ring him first and discuss before he will give his email addy. If you want it, PM me. Ian

Hi
I spoke with Alan a few weeks back and he is no longer taking new orders for guitars due to difficulty sourcing the timbers.

Godfrey,
your's sounds identical to mine spec-wise, apart from the black pickguard, knobs etc. As with all of his strats the consensus is that they are top quality and all sound as good as they look. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to his house to pick mine up and meet the man himself. He gave me a tour of his workshop and I was able to see some of his current (at that time) projects. I think he likes making classical acoustic guitars and they are to the highest standards as well. His promise with these guitars is, if you are not happy with the sound it produces then you just walk away and there is no charge. His thinking is that everyone has a different idea of the sound they like and if his guitars (classical) aren't what you expected then it's ok with him. The price is around the same as you would pay for one of his Strats and all materials are of the highest quality as you'd expect.
ps. I love my Alan Brason Strat and hopefully I'll get back into playing it again soon.
Regards
Kevin
