Thought I would give my newly acquired gear a test run. Some have been asking for demo sounds on some of my new gear so here it is.
Played live on a G&L S500 into a Vox AC4 C1 TV Ltd. Pedals used are Carl Martin Contour and Boost, Empress ParaEQ and eTapHW2. UBHank Backing played on home cinema HiFi and recorded on a Kodak digital camera. Sound is just off the camera with no editing done.

Very good sound Roger. I was hoping you would put up a sound file. The little Vox is great with the right echo, and a little E.Q. well played, thanks for that. Can I ask the settings you used on the Empress and Carl Martin?
Cheers, Alan H

Alan and Gus thank you, yes the amp sounds great and I am very pleased with it. It sounds even better with an ext speaker I had made which is not used here though.
Alan as far as I recall the Carl Martin had the high cut about 12 O Clock and the low cut around 3 O Clock. The gains were on around 3 slightly more gain on the high end. The Empress was set up to boost 2kHz around 12 Db with a wide Q and boost around 300 Hz or so about 6dB. I also boosted the empress output gain and used the -6dB pad. I worked the sound up by ear as slight tweaks here and there changed it a little including the echo settings which finished it off. It sounded better than the camera mic lets on as well.
Thanks for listening.
