Yes, it's more square with no panel above the speaker, just a square diamond grill with what looks like about 1 1/2" border all round.

Thanks Viv, The earlier AC15 with no flat section above would probably be roughly the same I guess? Phil

Yeh it's a great amp and even a humble 15w with a very efficient speaker is still pretty loud. I have done a few things with it in the past, but the convenience of my rackmount Pod Xt Pro & Amplitube/Guitar Rig etc are so easy without hacking off everyone (I am lucky enough to live in a large detached house) so neighbor problem not too bad but the wife won't go out enough times and leave me alone (she is not a guitar fan . I have so far sold off my superb Fender Twin Reverb (76') with JBL Orange Baskets, my AC30 6 input, that reputedly belonged to one hit wonders "Unit4+2", my AC4, and lastly in the last couple of months my other AC15 CC1x with the Alnico Blue. But still have my lovely little Fender Sidekick Reverb 25 Probably will sell that as well in the future. PS am updating LM, I think I have done a better job now with the bass and panned H/Claps to centre. Will upload after finishing this. Mike.

I can't remember the exact time when I bought the amp,(AC30) but it came from a friend of mines music shop in Tooting, (Tooting Music Centre) where I spent a lot of my spare time helping out and also when TMC studios were built above the shop, along with who became "Mixmaster Pete Hammond" we had a variety of names record/visit, most reggae hits of the 70's were recorded there, we had the Glitter Band (Don't mention Gary) Racy, Smoky, Charles Aznavour, Keith Richards, Mud, Judge Dread, (Alex Lyon) Hot Chocolate, the list goes on..... Good days they were, but the old studio and Bernie Proctor who owned it now gone, RIP Bernie, it's a West Indian Bakery now it was next door to Costa's boot makers where I had my first pair of python skin shoes with Cuban heels made. Mike.
