Hi Baz, I built a kit from ampmaker and needed a speaker cab.I used 19mm Plywood for the cabinet and baffle and purchased everything else(tolex, speakercloth, feet and handle)from a company called Solsound on the well known auction site. The only thing I would say is experiment with open and closed back cabinets.I actually made the centre back part of my cab adjustable and it makes a big difference to the sound, more bass when fully closed etc.hope this helps. Steve.

Hello Baz Here is a couple of cabinets that i have made , the mesa boogie is a mk3 and made these 3 cabs about 20 years ago , the cabinets are made from pine , they have a lot looser sound than the hardwood mesa use , the red cabinet is my latest build also pine and is a copy of a fender deluxe reverb styled after a sky king tone king with the controls at the front where you can see them and get to them easily , the resistors are allen bradely or riken and the capacitors are either sprauge or mallroy , I have made 2 boards to see which one sounds the best , I used a good quality vynal to cover the cab with bear brand contact adhesive , there is a good tutorial on utube where a person is using double sided tape to glue the material to the cab , good luck with the build , best regards Murray. www.4shared.com/account/dir/qcEb5DNu/_online.html#dir=EcZlBHJ-
