Hi Hubert, I wasn't aware of that. There are however differences for several reasons that I will not go into. Regards, Charlie

Well let`s wait until the new Hall Collins Echo can be compared to the TVS 3 and then we know much better, which type of reasoning, measuring and programming work get the best results for the "avid" Player for THAT Sound.

It has to be said that Charlie Hall got there first in analysing the echo's and their levels timings and other attributes. He was the first to achieve a realistic Shadows echo sound way back before any of the others came along and learnt from him. He has till now provided many options using readily available units for EFTP scheme. Now Charlie and John are to produce a first echo unit consolidating all of their experience in thse sounds. I have no doubt the H&C echo will be as good as it gets when it lands early 2015 and looking forward to it.

Hi Hubert, Thanks for the link. I have just read it all the way through. Specific delay times were not really discussed but may have been elsewhere. Regards, Charlie

Hi Hubert,
Just to set the record straight, all echo data used in the TVS3 was determined entirely by myself from the original recordings. That said, I acknowledge that Charlie and I had a number of interesting interchanges some time ago and I trust that may continue into the future.
Regards,
Paul.

Hello Charlie and Paul, indeed, specific echo timings were not discussed, lets keep it to some tips in general. You both did a great job with the TVS3 and Q2/20 patches, deep respect to both of You, and let the interchanges go on in the future, best regards, Hubert.

Hi Mike, Most of the parameters for each echo unit type emulated in the Hall & Collins echo are not accessible by any means. This also helps to keep patch editing easy for the user. The parameters for head timings, head levels, and feedback levels are accessible. We am not bothered by this. Regards, Charlie

Hi Mike, I haven't tried one but if it has a cut control and that is used to keep the high notes sounding warm enough then I think it could good. Regards, Charlie

Hi Mike, I am not sure if the setting that takes all the treble away would be too extreme. Have you tried setting it halfway or 3/4 of the way? That is how most would use it, I think. Regards, Charlie
