My current setup for practising is:- Line Out from amp into mixer, backing tracks from laptop into mixer. O/P from mixer into powered speakers. This seems to work well enough, but I'm aware that I'm not using my amps power stage, so may be losing some tone.
What setups do you use? Mic up amp, BT's through amp, everything separate, but close together.
Thanks,
Tim.

Hi Tim,
My set up for practice and recording is: guitar -> Zoom G7.1ut pedal -> Lexicon Alpha interface -> computer (with backing tracks) -> headphones or monitor speakers (connected out from the Alpha). I get a good sound and don't wake the neighbours!
Cheers,
John

ive got a Blackstar ID60 head and 2 x 12 cab that I use in another band im in, I've recently been using it a lot indoors as it has an Aux input for backing tracks so I can plug my iPad and guitar into it and play through it and get a good sound. I also use my ipad with Jam Up if im being lazy and don't want to sort the amp out.

Hi Tim, I use a Ipod with a program called "ONE TOUCH". Just load all your tracks into the Ipod, then you can plug it into your Amp with guitar FX Etc., Into your stereo unit this gives great sound for backing music, with guitar and FX out of your amp. Also plug this into comp. guitar echo unit into interface, and audio out into PWR Speakers or Head phones. Cheers Les.
