Hi Sandra, I love Fiesta Red on Strats and Precision Basses, and I did try to get close to that with the Cutting Edge filter casing, but I think the Burgundy and Grey two tone scheme for this looks classier! Regards, Charlie

Wow! Very neat and professional. I love the colour scheme and simplicity of controls. I'm sure it will grace many a professional stage setup.

Thanks to everyone for your positive comments.
Hi kjm7645, I didn't take the pic and haven't yet had access to a finished unit, so I don't have exact dimensions because my first prototype is slightly smaller but should be approximately 22cm X 16.5cm X 9cm.
Hi Paul, I don't know enough about distance selling regulations. It would be something you could ask the manufacturer later. I think there should be some way of arranging for you to try one out beforehand. The manufacturer will be supplying direct but I could still possibly arrange something for you. There will be quite a few of these around quite quickly so you might even find someone near you who has one to try.
Regards, Charlie

Hello Charlie,
We know it sounds great from the posted sound files and now we know it looks great. In fact the up and down buttons will make it a breeze to use and I can no longer see the need for a rack version which would need a separate foot controller. Well done.
Could you confirm that the row of knobs are all set in the "flat " position with the patches all set to go in conjunction with Certain amps, such as Vox, with a suggested setting and they only need to be adjusted in certain other situations. I'm sure there must be many like me who are not good with an array of control buttons.
Thanks
Mick

A work of art, send one to the tower and display it between the crown jewels For real, this is looking great and build like a tank, and as we know already sounds like a heavenly dream! Charlie and John thanks a million to keep me playing with this gem even when I'm living in the shady pines old folks home Cheers Rob

Hello Charlie! This new unit looks great! A very classy colour scheme, and it looks to be a chunky beast, strong enough for stadium use! I like the recessed knobs idea. I suspect many of us on this site can be a tad clumsy in our boots. Flimsy plastic pedals take a beating! A 'cracking' endurance test on stage! I just can't wait to get my hands on my own H-C Echo unit! You must be so very, very proud of your achievement. Your baby is born! You and the midwife have done brilliantly! Well done. Kindest regards, Milko

Hi Charlie,
Jun 6, 2011 @ 10:22AM A thread was started with philbarker asking for details of your new echo unit.
Jun 6, 2011 @ 8:15PM You posted a detailed answer which whetted everyone's anticipation.
Jan 10, 2015 @ 4:05PM You unleashed the awesome HBTY audio demo which threw everyone into a frenzy.
April 5, 2015 A picture of "the Hall&Collins echo unit" first appeared.
Wow, what a journey - lots of blood, sweat and tears for you, lots of eager anticipation on ours. Shouldn't be long now before we devotees of the early Shads sound experience the thrill of playing /hearing "that sound" in our own sound.
Alan

Thanks to everyone for your further positive comments since my last post of this thread.
Hi Mick, Good to see a change of opinion re. pedal v. rack. There is a kind of "flat" position for all 5 rotary knobs, which is at the 3 o' clock position, or all pointing to the right. This basic setting should be adequate for most users. The patch settings are mainly designed for different tunes. AC30 amps can compress a lot when driven hard and this can make the echo level be perceived as higher, so the Echo Level control can be lowered to allow for it. Amps with less mids can make the echo level be perceived as lower, so the Echo Level control can be increased for more echo if required.
Regards, Charlie

Hi Charlie,
I have heard it,now I have seen it.Sounds great,looks great.
The long wait has been worth it.Unfortunately at this moment in time, I can't afford to buy one.But I have made up my mind to sell my JMI VOX AC30.Should get enough money to buy a Hall & Collins unit....and compliment it with a VOXAC15 HTV LTD EDITION.
Regards
Steve

Hi Charlie, What a beauty! Clearly a well considered and practical design. After all the hard work and frustrating delays which were beyond your control, you and John should be feeling very proud to be witnessing finally this birth of your joint creation. Oh, and I do like the name: Hall & Collins Signature Echo. Touch of class! How long, I wonder, will it be before we start seeing this unit being referred to by using the acronym 'HCSE'? Well done! Can't wait to get my hands on one Best regards, Mike
