Some of you may have noticed that Kay (airhostess) hasn't posted anything of late or left any comments. I would like to speak on behalf of Kay as she is reluctant to tell you all how she is at the moment.
Kay has recently been receiving treatment at a hospital for her recurring condition which makes anything she does very painful. It was all she could do to email me to explain. She is not looking for any sympathy, but at the same time does not want to go ''missing'' again without someone knowing. As far as Kay was concerned it was enough to let me know as I had originally asked her why she went ''missing'' a while back. I can only try to imagine how debilitating this recurring condition must be for her, as everything she tries to do must be a great effort. If its anything like sciatica then she has my sympathy; Ive had it a couple of times from an old back injury and its murder! All I know is that it is from an accident she sustained some time ago which affected the nerves in her spine.
I hope Kay forgives me for letting you all know. She has not requested it, so it is all my own doing as I know members are concerned with other members' welfare.
Kay has been unable to post or comment on the site for about 4 weeks and anticipates that she will not be able to participate in sound files or comments until after the outcome of her hospital visit shortly, but I am sure she will still follow events visually on the site.
I hope, as I am sure you all do, that Kays new regime of treatment sees here return to good health.
Thank you.
John

Wishing Kay the best of luck with the new treatment, which I hope will at last include an effective cure for the condition. Regards, Charlie That goes for me to. I consider Kay to be one of the most expressive players I have heard on this site and, for me, that playing acts as a brief window into her soul. Kay, if you are reading this, I remain forever grateful to you for introducing me to Smooth Jazz with that wonderful posting of 'Misty' on 7 June, 2013. I have grown to love playing that tune as each time it reawakens a desire to move both myself and any listening audience who care to listen. Bit by bit I think I am succeeding, but have yet to match your superbly sensitive rendition. I do hope that the clouds will soon disperse and, once more, you will feel able to return to the fold at CH&Fs. We are missing you! Regards, Mike

Hi John, Please pass this message on to Kay.
Hi Kay,
I hope that you will very soon feel a lot better after your current treatment. We will all await and look forward to your wonderful playing and comments once again when you feel you are able to do so. Looking after yourself does come first though, so take your time.
Take care now.

Thanks to everyone who have sent messages to Kay. I will be sending a message to Kay with all the names who have sent good wishes from many parts of the world. I think she will be able to read most of them first-hand as I hope she can still, at least, press buttons to call up the site.
Charlie Hall Jim Pippo & Sal (Italy) Sandra Rob& Ger (Netherlands) Chris Mikee Maurice Audrey Baz Mike Lou (Canada) Steve Les Roger Rosemary & Murrey (Australia) Jim (Irvine) Phil Pete
I have told Kay to let me know when she is able to type (in her own time) on a computer again to let me know how she is getting on. It may not be for a while, but I will post anything (with her permission) on her progress.
Thank you all again. John

Thanks for posting this John.
Now then Kay, if you read any of the above good wishes then you can include mine as well. Your sense of humour always makes me laugh and brightens the pages of CH&F, as well as the musical qualities you so ably demonstrate, so keep smiling. You're a top girl, and we all miss you; keep that Strat polished and get well soon.
Regards,
Rod
