Hi Charlie & Friends, I thought after many years I'd re-visit this one. Played by the founder member of Thin Lizzy Eric Bell. Can anyone shed some light on what is going on effect-wise in about the first twenty seconds. I'm hearing echo but is there something else going on? apart from an od/fuzz kind of thing. The link HERE is to what I think is the original single release version. Can my Hall & Collins SE help with this? Any help much appreciated. Regards, Tim.

Hi Tim,As far as I know its 2 separate guitar tracks plus an acoustic guitar track, 1 guitar track is a leslie rotary sound through a marshall amp,the other guitar track is a marshall bluesbreaker pedal through a fender twin and a 50ms delay was added. hope this helps, regards gary

Hi Gary, Thanks for that, old age is creeping up on me, I had not thought of two separate tracks with one being delayed. I knew I could hear something else also which as you say must be the Leslie. Regards, Tim. EDIT:- Not having a Marshall, Fender Twin, Bluesbreaker or Leslie I'm not going to worry about the first twenty seconds
