Somehow cannot get the long url to transfer to Sandra's magic url to link convertor. Still trying. Members of my mailing list will have already got the mp3, though.
Last night's show featured instrumental tracks from Hank, The Shadows, Ian Plant, Robert Jones, and Richard Bennett. The featured vocalist was Eric Clapton.
See you next time,
Kay

You can download the mp3 to your hard disk and thence to CD, erase from hard disk when you wish. the link stays active for a month. enjoy! kay

Folks - it's a really great listen - lots of diversity and a really nice 'flow' - I can heartily recommend it. Try to listen in or get the file (my thanks here to Sandra for helping out weekly with my fix on what would be an otherwise impossible task in SA) it's worth every second!!

Both links work, mine is over running a little but is in 128kb, it will be available until 7th December I think It is no trouble at all Kay and if you like, if I manage to remember to record it and I get the whole show ,I will link to it on here each week when I send the link to Tony. Mine will be at 128kb but may not be 100% as reliable as yours as you know when and for how long it is on so it will be good if you continue to post your link too as I may slip up and shut the computer down if I forget to leave it on to record it when I have gone to bed

Thanks for the heads up Kay.
Tony's recordings are top notch, deserve some air time in radios.

Its no trouble at all Kay and Tony, providing I remember to record it and it doesn't mess up like it has done a couple of times, then I feel guilty for not delivering something I had promised. As well as being annoyed at missing hearing all of the show too, so it is a good thing that Kay provides his link for us as a back up too

Sandra, many thanks, your 128 kbps link works super!! I will be in Italy/ UK from the 10th Dec to 19 January and Kathy has kindly agreed to stand in for me.
Last night's show featured Rod Stewart as the vocal artiste plus a host of others. The instrumentals featured Hank/The Shadows, Tony Lowther, Ian Plant, Derek Kerner, Eric Thacker, Pete Korving, and others.

You are turning into a right little globetrotter Kay I have only managed to listen to the first hour so far, thanks for the dedication early on. I didn't realise you would be playing some of Ecca's stuff, I heard Tony's so I will listen out for Ecca's playing. I will do the same while you are away if you like, I just hope that my internet connection does not drop as it doe shave a habit of dropping for anything up to about 4 minutes a couple of times a day at random times. It is more reliable now I am with PlusNet instead of BT but despite several checks and exchanging the routers while with both ISPs and the engineers finding nothing wrong it still has the intermittent cut offs Have a nice trip and Merry Xmas, although I realise that it will probably not be as happy as last years was for your wife.

Thank you, Sandra. No worries, will gratefully accept whatever you can manage. Also got your e-mail.
Yes, we have some remarkable talent on this forum.... those mentioned, and many more. Eric Thacker and Pete Korving play a duet on the last track, a Christmassy tune.
Ecca and his wife visited these shores some years ago around this time of year and we made a recording of "Silver Bells" together. Tony Lowther has recorded some great stuff. And so also have many others on the forum... I hope to feature more in the future.

Thank you so much Sandra! The Valentine’s day show tonight is crowded with great music chosen especially for the occasion and, of course, including the artistry of Hank Marvin. Do not forget to tune in to www.ocrockradio.com on your computer or phone! There have been some changes in the radio station software, so if “Listen Now” does not work, just go press the TuneIn button a little way down, download the app, and you will get there. Apologies for the inconvenience. However, if nothing works and/or if you live in a part of the world where the show airs real time at an ungodly hour (we are GMT - 8 hrs), fear not: you can access here the link to a recording of the entire show (kind courtesy of Sandra) a few hours after. I am still taking in dedications, so if you have not already, and wish to send out wishes to anyone dear to you, just e-mail me before tonight…at kaydas@mac.com See you tonight! Kay

I wondered what had happened last week as I had to go through all the options until I got to the Tune In one that worked, the iTunes just made a lot of hissing and a few weeks back I had to use winamp to record the show. It is all set up and ready to record while I hopefully catch up on some zzzz's shortly, as I have had a hard day today doing everything but the stuff that I really wanted to do

The John Barry section was wonderful - and a really great version of 'All the time in the world' Kay. What a master Barry was - truly unique in his melody and chordal arrangements.

Tomorrow's show, as last week's, will continue to feature tracks whose names include a colour. How many Hank/Shadows tunes can you think of? We shall be opening with one.
