Just as a observation what are the site rules for members posting a sound file for the same tune as one that as already been posted by another member I feel there should be at least a week to give a chance for members to comment without having overlapping of the same SF's

Hi Pete, I don't think there is a rule about posting the same tune within a certain time. There was a sort of rule, actually more of a guideline, where some members wanted members to leave a gap of at least a week before posting another sound file and this was OK for a while, until one member, who is no longer with us, started posting very frequently. I opened a debate about it without pointing fingers at anyone, and most felt it was OK. I think it is worth pointing out that any member who floods the sound files sections with files in quick succession, then that member's files are not going to get the attention they might have deserved. The same might apply to postings of the same tune. Regards, Charlie

Nobody's in trouble it was just a observation about allowing a bit of time between posting a SF of the same tune to give other members a chance to comment on one first.I think a week would be fair to everyone.

Hi Pete, Thanks. I have answered your PM. I will now recommend that members thinking of posting the same tune as someone else has already posted, then they should wait for the first poster's thread to quieten down before posting their version. I think this also makes more sense than applying a fixed one week rule. I hope all posters will see this message. Regards, Charlie
