Hi , I've played with H&C unit for almost a year now and I'm VERY VERY pleased with sound, I think it's better than my Amtech age-1. The ONLY annoying thing on this great pedal effect is: IT HAS NO "TAPE SPEED"( delay time)CONTROL !!!!!? WOW & FLUTTER control knob could have been replaced by speed knob, but....again, I don't design these things anyway. Another very cool replacement for my Amtech age 1 echo has been the Catalinbread Echorec-pedal BUT , that needs a 18V supply to work properly w/od pedals and the pots are a pain to get the setting right , especially the mix and speed knobs ! SO , to what conclusion have we come concerning these great little pedals . !!!! Please make them more comfortable to use in live situation ( like the old tape/disc echoes) !!!!!!! With Best Regards ; Mr Jyrki Telila

Hi Jyrki, We did think a speed control would be a good feature but it would have meant having a variable clock speed which would have caused very bad things to happen with the other features we have put in. Regards, Charlie

I have the Catalinbread Echorec pedal and although it can work on any voltage between 9 & 18 I haven't found it necessary to use 18 at all. In fact I did try it with my 18v supply and I couldn't tell any difference......regarding the internal trim pots.... mine are still set at the factory values and the unit sounds great....any adjustment is mean't to be a semi permanent choice I think, not a feature that is tweakable on a regular basis, ie on a gig....those features are left to the knobs on the outside.... Paul....

There is a pedal called a Boonar which emulates a Binson Echorec drum echo with 4 heads which has a drum speed control which alters all 4 head timings synergically. While this is a great pedal it is still not as flexible as the H&C as the head spacings are fixed giving lim ited patterns whereas you can set up to 6 heads on the H&C to whatever times you want. Steve.

I saw a demo of the Boonar on you tube and it sounded great, I`m just wondering if you got it here or did you have to order it from their website? I also saw the Catalinbread Echorec that Paul mentioned and that sounds great as well. I`m still over the moon with the H&C but I just want something else to play with. Cheers Adrian

Steve. How`s it going Steve. I didn`t know you could do that with the H&C, I think I need to have a closer look at the manual. Cheers Adrian

Hello Adrian , Yeah all is good , I look in regularly , I ordered it from there web site through REVERB.COM , they said they had 3 available but had to wait 1 month for it , apparently their was a big rush on them , it's a great pedal , the thing i was looking for was a good sounding universal pedal that ran on 9 volts DC for busking , I have 3 magic stomps to be sure to be sure to be sure wish are great at a gig with power but i can't be bothered carting a large battery and an inverter around just to run an echo pedal , the Boonar does a great job for all of my needs , I also run a triple delay sometimes but it has been playing up , might put it on a post and shoot the dam thing TC don't want to know about the problems , best regards Murray. www.4shared.com/photo/ESEVX70Gba/IMG_1870.htmlwww.4shared.com/photo/Np5_WcPqce/IMG_1938.html
