Hi everyone, My lovely TC Electronic M300 outboard effects unit which I have had since 2003, has just suddenly stopped working - curled up & died! I purchased a Lexicon unit to replace it, but I just prefer the TC which was so much simpler to use and the effects were great for providing reverb & delay to singers in the sound booth. I don't know if any one has had any experience of using the M300 or had a similar problem and could advise me whether it could be an internal fuse or a small problem. If it is likely to be the Power Supply Unit then I think I will call it a day and stick with the Lexicon. Thanks in anticipation. Best wishes, Pete

likely internal power supply issue if it's totally dead - that happened to my Q20 and it turned out to be the start up resistor in the switched mode power supply - fixed for about 40p.
Be careful poking about in the power supply - there's usually a large capacitor lurking in there which can give you a nasty jolt!

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply. That's my fear that it's the PSU so I will leave any delving inside to someone who knows what they are doing. My son plays in a band and the lead guitarist is very handy at amp repairs and the like, so I may ask him to have a look. Worse thing that can happen is that I'll have to go back to using the Lexicon and try and get used to the presets and creating my own.
Many thanks for the advice.
Best wishes,
Pete
