Hi Gary,
These amps 0001 and 0002 he used in the first part of his 94 or 95 tour. I saw him using this two early in the tour and I was telling my friends about his new amps on the way to his later gig... Entering the room I was laughted upon, because Hank had now two Matchless DC30's on stage. Look to the row chicken heads..the pots are so closely placed, when....you turn one the next one is picked up along it's travel.
Cheers Rob

A friend of mine has one of these but I don't know the serial no. or how many were made. I've heard it and played through it several times (the last occasion was as recently as three weeks ago). It sounds excellent but, TBH, you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference between it and a decent AC30.
In view of the information in this thread, I'll have a closer look the next time I see it.
Cheers.
Tony

I wouldn't trust anything the Hanks in Denmark Street is selling, They are well known for selling stuff with dubious history and that's being kind!!

About right Jeff, they will put a spin (story) onto a guitar or piece of equipment to sell it. I found Chandlers in Kew very trustworthy although not cheap. Its, where Hank did a load of business. and his old Roland echoes and his Mesa Boogie amp passed through the shop.
