Just wondering who shops at the famous Andertons, would they be the biggest shop in England? We had 2 big chains in Australia, Allans which had been around for ever, and Billy Hyde, which started in the 60s. A few years back they merged, then a couple of years ago they went out of business. A guy who owned another shop Gallins, bought the name and started them up again, they not as big as they were, even though if you look at their website it looks like they are Matthew

Andertons is not a chain as far as I'm aware. They have been around since at least the 60s and they have a fairly large shop premises in Guildford. Regards, Charlie

Andertons is not a chain they have 1 shop and 1 rather large warehouse.
I buy quite a bit of gear from them mainly because they carry large stocks and usually have what I want.
Never had a problem with them.

Most of my music equipment comes from Andertons, they provide a fantastic service, only critism is their limited car park.

Have purchased from Andertons on several occasions and they seem a well set up outfit.........the only problem I ever had was when it took Fed-Ex 3 attempts to deliver an undamaged Epiphone Les Paul I ordered. The cavalier way the returns were flung into the back of the van had to be seen to be believed. These were mid range price guitars but were only protected by the standard triangular box lined with the odd polystyrene block so it might be worth insisting on better packing if you buy from them.
