_http://mfguitarproducts.simpl.com/ These have to be the best pickups made in the UK. A statement that can't really be backed up as pickups are very subjective and greatly depends on what sounds you are looking for. The best pickups are the ones that sound best to you in your guitar, which I'm sure will be quite different to other choices of "best pickups" Kind regards, Chris

Mark makes them accurate to the original pickups, The website Phil linked seems to be from the US. Mark Foley pickups are up there with Australian Slider pickups. Best authentic sounding pickups I've heard. If you wanted pickup to a certain spec I'm sure Mark would be happy to do so.

Best authentic sounding pickups I've heard. Kevin That's my point, the best sounding pickups that YOU have heard, I already have all the pickups that I'll be needing for the foreseeable future. All the praise in the world for any pickup means nothing until you hear it installed on your own guitar, as I'm sure so many of us have found out to the detriment of our pockets. Kind regards, Chris

I don't doubt for one minute that these pickups sound awesome, but I have to agree with grip, There are many pickups described as awesome out there and its a buyers choice. As a point of interest I saw a Rock n Roll band last year in my local pub, the lead guitarist had a standard US Strat circa 1990, made in the USA and he played a couple of Shadows tunes, Apache and Man Of Mystery, they both sounded fantastic and he just had a Fender twin amp and a delay pedal. Being a fan I had to ask him if he had done any mods on the guitar and he said no, its all bog standard
