Greetings All,
Here's a very twangy Guitar Instrumental which I hope you will enjoy.
I've got fed up with seeing it hanging around (half finished) on my desktop for ages, so I've quickly wrapped it up for better or worse:
Sorry about all of the rough mistakes.
Regards,
Rod

Where've you been Rod? Don't seem to have heard from you for ages. I have to say it was worth the wait, I loved that. You got a nice Duaneish type of sound and played some nice tasty licks. Even your change of tempo suited it.
Well played,
Len

Hiya Len,
Just lately I've been more of a spectator than a player, if you catch my drift. Many thanks for giving it a play and for not mentioning all the bum notes.
Cheers,
Rod

Rod,
I do catch your drift, I'm currently at that stage.
I thought the bum notes were just improvisation!

Hi Rod,
Good to see you posting a tune again. An enjoyable rendition, well played with good guitar sounds. Nice work on your backing too.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi Rod As already mentioned good to see you posting again and what a number to do it with your own guitar instro version of a Eddie Cochran classic.I know what you mean about being more of a spectator than a player I had been like that for quite a while but just recently have set myself the challenge to get back into things.

Hi Rod a very enjoyable "take" on an Eddie Cochran classic. I enjoyed this a lot, nice 60's style playing and a super bt TOO. Cheers Ian

Greetings All,
Many thanks for your welcoming messages, I wasn't sure if anyone would still remember me . . .
Chris: To be honest, I did just throw the final bits together just to get it done and out of the way, so thanks for listening and commenting.
Pete: I have found it's easier just to pick up my acoustic and enjoy a quick "burst on the banjo", but I've still got my strat & vox to hand for whenever the urge returns.
Ian: Really pleased you enjoyed listening; I think I spent much longer on the BT than the lead track - but by that time I was getting a bit tired of playing it! Must be getting old!
Anyway, what's going on with these blummin' avatars? I notice my crossed guitars image has been removed and substituted. Is this Photobucket trying to get its 'free' members to cough up some cash? Is there a way to get the original avatar back in place? Any advice greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rod

Hi Rod, Your avatar has gone because of Photobucket's changes. They now want payment to allow images to be seen on third party sites like this one. I cancelled my account because of it. Maybe you can find another similar site where there are no charges? I'm not sure, but it might also be possible to upload your avatar directly to this site from your account settings. I think there is a limit to the avatar size of 100 X 100 pixels. Regards, Charlie

Rod, that avatar image will STILL be on your Photobucket account. Its just blocked from third party use. Sign in and DL it back to your PC. Then go find another free hoster site - I use imgBB now. Then you can restore your avatar here by using the full image embed code. Worth a try anyway. HTH Ian

Hi Rod, Charlie and Ian That's great that we can now upload our avatar images here. I just changed mine to test as previously I had a link to one on my own website. The recommended dimensions are 150x150 pixels and the upload file size limit is 1MB but the avatar dimensions will be scaled down next to the posts.
Rod: That's a very good video too - very nicely played with a super sound!
Best wishes Rosemary

WOW LOOK AT ME NOW!! How cool am I?
Many thanks for your help Charley, Ian and Rosemary. I just simply uploaded the jpeg image to this site through my account settings as suggested.
Thanks Rosemary for your very kind comments on my video, I'll try harder next time.
Thanks and regards,
Rod
