This is my first sound file: Theme for Young Lovers. This was recored live by my wife using her iPhone. I made a few mistakes to prove that I wasn't miming!! I played a Japanese "History" Strat, fitted with a Birds Eye Maple neck from Musikrasft in America. Kinman Impersonator P/ups (I think Version 3) I also use a StayTrem. My pedal board comprises of Boss Tu2 Tuner. Tech 21 Liverpool. H&CSE (on P15) Gemini 111 and an MXR 10 band EQ. I don't use all of the pedals all of the time though. I played through my Vox Night Train 15W amp, which tend to be a little "Bass Light" I ford I forgot to add that I use D'Addario Pure Nickel strings. 11-48 but I change the top E to a 12. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nXLRiJ0iRo Many thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,
A good start to your soundfile postings, well played and it was probably a better sound "live" than that of the posted video (given the recording by 'phone method). LKopok forward to your next soundfile.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi Dave, Given the recording method not a bad sound, but I have to wonder if you're getting the best result using the Gemini III with a bass light amp. Do you turn up the bass and mids on the amp to compensate? Regards, Charlie

Hello Dave,
I also enjoyed your recording and well done. It was done just how I think things should be done. Live. Charlie recently posted a whole series of videos of his gig. Again there was no let’s do it again and post the best of three or four versions. Just one go and get it right. ( and didn’t he do well).
I was particularly interested to hear that yours was done using an iPhone.
You know, I even think I could manage to do that.
So could you let me know how you got it from the phone onto YouTube?
Cheers
Mick

Hi Charlie. Many thanks for your reply. What you say makes sense. However, I only use the Gemini111 which I set on position Two for older numbers for example The Stranger. I use the clean channel on the amp. The Bass Mids and Treble are cut from this channel and to be honest, the controls don't seem to make a huge difference on the other channel. The other channel is louder but a little muddy. Regards Dave

Hi Mick. My wife organised uploading to YouTube. She says first you need to create a YouTube account. Then from iPhone select a photo or video and press the "Share" button. This will show the YouTube logo and you press on that. I haven't tried it myself, so not sure if that will work - it sounds too easy!! Regards Dave

Hello Dave
Thanks for that information on transfer of files to the internet. As you say it sounds too easy, but now I have an idea of what is involved I’ll look into it. I think I will have to talk to one of my grandsons though . As you can see I’m not good at computer stuff.
Thanks again
Mick

Hi Mick, hope you are successful. I'm in a similar situation as you - not a fund on computers etc.
