Any views on the latest special run from Mexican factory? Appears to have reverted to old radius and thin frets rather than the classic series incarnation?

I've had mine a couple of months and really like it..looks good and plays well. I also have an American Professional Strat which I bought about 6 months ago. I only play at home but if I could only keep one I would keep the FSR.

Taking everything into consideration the build the finish and the price it is IMO well worth it I have a number of guitars and this one I really rate highly, you could argue that it's not a direct copy of a classic series or a Reissue but then those are already on the market at there own prices and if you was going to do a complete replication there would be not a lot of point because they already exist so it is what is to try and keep comparing it is not really logical, best to just judge it on its on merits and what it is advertised as a NEW MIM FSR Limited Edition 50's Stratocaster for those who would like one you pay your money and you make your own choices Gorgeous limited-edition Strat' in dazzling Fiesta Red Classic Strat' ergonomically designed double-cutaway body profile offers peerless playing comfort Lightweight alder body delivers balanced Strat' tones Maple neck with classic Soft "V" profile and 7.25-inch radius Beautiful maple fingerboard with dot position inlays to guide your way Trio of American Vintage '56 pickups that offer classic Strat' tone Superb 6-saddle tremolo guarantees peerless intonation, sustain, and vibrato Includes Pro Series' tweed hardcase to protect your pride and joy Pete

Pete, Thanks for this. I am presently negotiating to recover a copy of Hank's/Cliff's/Bruce's strat that I foolishly sold to a friend a while back. Charlie and his mates built that and it is a fine guitar but I foolishly let it go because the neck was quite slim, whereas the soft V does appeal, especially if it has some girth as well - like a Baja tele?
