Has anyone played / purchased a PRS SE Custom?
Any / all opinions welcome.
I've watched a video on You Tube where the man demonstrating has avoided the usual heavily distorted tripe that one is usually subjected to, with the result that one might experience the nice clean tones that this guitar is capable of.
Cheers, Alan

I’ve got one. Had it a couple of years, it’s a beautiful guitar to play. 2 humbuckers, but can be coil tapped for a cleaner sound. I have a few guitars, strats, Les Paul, etc., but if I could have only one it would be my PRS as it’s so versatile. Try one, you won’t regret it. Tim.

Thank you Tim. That's exactly what I wanted to know.
Cheers, Alan.

There is no doubt PRS guitars are superb, but I cannot see why they released a Strat copy guitar with a PRS head stock, The Silver Sky, in my opinion it looks stupid, Strats are the most copied guitars in the world and I think PRS should have not joined the club, I wonder if they thought it would sell their brand name better.

Hi Mike, PRS is a good choice, one of the reasons I like mine is that it's a marginally wider nut than my strat's and easier for me to play. I put some bare knuckle mule pu's on mine and wired them for out of phase and single coil, been picking it up the last few days when I can, I'd forgotten how nice it is. I prefer your second choice colour, green will never sound right Kind regards, Chris

Hi Alan, Robbo here. I've got a lovely quilted blue PRS Custom 24 SE and it's great. The coil taps work nicely, it plays like a dream and is good for Shads stuff should you wish to play any on this guitar, though slightly different sounds to a Strat. I bought this brand new at the end of 2014 and all I can say is that it's different and is a pleasure to play.

I just noticed in your picture the Sony Mini-HiFi minus the other bits, I have had the same one since I can't remember and still going good.

It’s a nice piece of equipment, especially as it was free. Previous owner was just going to throw it out. It makes a nice mini PA for the bedroom.
Tim.
