I am trying to recreate some echoes on my iPad. A simple question, for the Echomatic 2 the timings I have are 106ms, 204ms, 285ms and 360ms. I am right in assuming that these timings are relative to the initial note, and not the previous echo (tap).
Thanks, Tim.

They will be all relative to the initial note. I think the Meazzi's original timings would have been 100, 200, 280, 360. Charlie

Charlie,
Hope you don’t mind a couple of extra question if you know.
1. Is the head speed constant, so these timings are fixed? 2. Can the o/p levels be adjusted. 3. Do individual heads have there own feedback values, or is it a global setting.
Many Thanks, Tim.

The heads don't move (except that they were sprung loaded) but the drum/wheel (or whatever is fashionable to call it at the time) has irregularities for several reasons. There was a control that adjusted the signal from the first 3 heads. Feedback is too complicated to explain. Individual head feedback amounts bear little relation to the head output levels. Regards, Charlie
