Hello Alan Very pretty little tune. I've not heard it before either. A nice bit of playing from you, and a great sound from the Strat. Is that a G3 being used for echoes? Sounds good. Cheers ian

Thanks Ian, i’ve since learned it’s a Swedish song and after having taken a time out playing, I’m on a mission for something other than Shadows tunes. It is a Zoom G3, but my set up is, strat > MXR 10 band EQ > Joyo ACTone > Zoom G3 > PC, not the conventional link up, but it works for me.

Interesting Alan, my set-up is similar (except I dont have the 10 band EQ) but I have my G3X before the JoyoACTone as in a conventional "gigging" sort of sense. That works for me too. LOL! What do you feel is the benefit of this way round? Here to learn, Alan. If you want to keep the thread "clean" then PM me. OK? Cheers Ian

Hi Alan,
Well played, I enjoyed your version very much. There seems to be quite a lot of confusion regarding this tune’s origins. I learned to play it a couple of years ago and have always known it as Lille Mor. I believe this is Swedish for ‘Little Mother’ and, it seems, should be written as ‘Lillemor’. Searches on the Internet suggest that it is a traditional Scandinavian tune.
The chords are quite easy, but if anyone would like a pdf that includes the timings then drop me a PM with your email address.
Regards, Mike

Hello Lillemor is also a Swedish female name. Lille Mor is "Little Mother" but Lillemor is a name. The tune is written by Gotthard Lundgren. Lundgren has written a lot of tunes in the fifties. I confident Roger Paulsson to do a BT for it for about 10 yers ago. Normally it is a song about a girl, Lillemor. /Bertil

Thanks for the explanations regarding the name and meaning. Ian, basically the only reason I set up in the way I do, is to use the Zooms usb for direct recording to my pc. The other effects can’t be connected directly to Audacity, so after trying out various set ups, I concluded that the output sound was not materially affected having the echo at the end.
