Just trying to see if one ever connected a bigger LCD display on a Yamaha Magicstomp. It is very hard to read when one has a loss of view. Thanks Sheendigs

Hi Sheens. not sure a bigger screen. but have replaced mine. and have spares which are a little brighter. not a very easy fix took me about an hr. you need to be good with solder gun as the pins are many and small. regards Lou

Hi Sheendigs,
Rather than modify the MagicStomp I wonder if it would be possible to fix a simple bar lense over the original display, it might need an air gap for ventilation?

Gary Keith alias electon suggested to put a lens over the display and fix it with tubes to hold it in place. Someone else suggested a ruler magnifier this link shows: www.amazon.com/Mighty-Bright-36801-Ruler-Magnifier/dp/1933622180Your choice...my idea was to find a company that can use the connection as with the magicstomp display, but with a larger one LCD or the like?? Perhaps, I am expecting too much Sheendigs

See no real issue with using a small laptop on stage or at home with the YMS editor software? It's what I use whenever I need the Magicstomp.
Mike.

Hello Mike Thanks for the info...but it beats the portability of the Magicstomp and its quick preset change. Anyway, I will keep on dreaming.... Sheendigs
