I want to post a link to my YouTube video.
I have a link in an email on my computer. This will take me directly to YouTube. However, if i cut and paste said link onto this site the written link remains BLACK and won't link to YouTube. What am i doing wrong? All help greatly appreciated. Dave

I go to the YouTube video then go to 'Share' and then 'Copy link' then just paste where required youtu.be/EzgbcyfJgfQ

Dave,
If you want the video to show in the post rather than just the link, when you start a new post you'll see a list of options along the top. Click on the emblem of a clapperboard, and a box will pop up for you to copy the You Tube URL. If you click on the share tag in You Tube, left click on 'Copy', and then right click in the URL box of the post and paste it into there. You have to delete the 's' on the end of 'HTTP' and then click on 'Insert'.
I hope that makes sense,
Len

Hi John. I tried your suggestion but it didn’t work for me - hence my post above.
Hi Len. I’ll give your suggestion a try.
Thank you both. Dave

Hi Dave,
A simple but crude way of putting the just the link into a ProBoards thread is:
1. Open the YouTube item using a browser, 2. Highlight the entire YouTube URL at the top of the browser page, 3. Press Ctrl-C (this copies the URL to the Clipboard), 4. Place the cursor in the Create box or Reply box of the ProBoards thread, 5. Press Ctrl-V (this pastes the URL into the box) and, when you've finished writing the rest of the message, 6. Post the new Thread or Reply.

If like my youtube it's now showing as youtube studio, click on your youtube vid and on the right you will see the video link in blue with the small video, just right click & copy, & post. This from my youTube Mike.

I've followed the directions above. I can get the video link into a new post - however - the link remains BLACK and does not change to BLUE - so it doesn't in fact link to anything! Any additional tips?! Please!! Dave

Just done it again and as you see it's blue. Are you looking at the preview, as that stays black until posted, when copying the link right click and "Copy Link Location" then paste. Mike. My cover on youtube youtu.be/XDl3r1Ncj30

Hi Mike. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Yes - I was looking at the preview - afraid to “Post” in case I had done something wrong. After all of this I feel too nervous to post a sound file! Thanks. Dave
