Dance on was a vocal version also but I’m not sure if The Shadows version or Kathy Kirby version came first? Matthew

There was also a version sung in french by Orlando (of italian origin, hence his accent, and brother of the famous singer Dalida). "L'amour fait la loi" (Love rules):

Petula Clark (who made a large part of her career in France) sung two french versions of Shadows' tunes :
"Dance on" as "Je me sens bien auprès de toi" (I fell good next to you):
"Foot tapper" as "Mon bonheur danse" (My hapineess dance):

I read an article a while back regarding Dance On,,,the writers were in ' The Avon's' and signed to Norrie Paramor,He obviously played it to The Shads.
