Up until now, I have known very little about Johnny Marr and can't even call to mind any of his work, yet having just read Andertons advert for his signature Jaguar I am quite impressed by him.
So often artist endorsed instruments seem have, to my mind, gimmicks to personalize them, such as cigarette burns, careless chips and dings, even in one instance a bottle opener installed on the back!!
This chap, however, seems to have gone the extra mile or two, to raise the anti on his instrument to make it better and more versatile.
The price at just under £2000 and the short scale 24" are not to my liking, but the rest really does have its appeal.
Does anybody have one of these?
And what say you about these?
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick,
My son in law's got one, and the controls are very different from a standard Jaguar. The standard has on/off switches for each pickup, but the Johnny Marr has a four way pickup selector, the fourth position is both pickups together out of phase, and there are three more filter switches. Exactly what they do I don't know, and I can't do an A/B comparison with mine, he plays the Johnny Marr through a Fender George Benson Hot Rod, whereas mine's a Classic Vibe that I use through a Vox AC4 or a Boss Katana. And he's 120 miles away so we can't nip around to each other's houses with our gear! I know the rest of his band love his sound.
Cheers,
Len
