Early days eh? It never 'magnified' my talent but then again I never took the boxing gloves off!

That was an interesting video and it brought back many memories. I remember that 45 ad from my teens. I left home at 17 to join a “Beat Group” I used a Selmer amp but don’t remember the model. I do remember that it had 5 presets to instantly vary the tone. Once we opened for The Pretty Things and one of them left a lit cigarette on my amp leaving a permanent burn mark. I was really upset at the time. Dave

hi dave ,it would have been a selmer selectortone ,or a zodiac or thunderbird which were also fitted with the selectortone buttons .I had a couple of zodiacs over the years fantastic amps which imo had a better range of sound options than a vox. and then there was that gold lame speaker cloth ,crocodile skin finish and winking tremolo light .unbeatable.everybodys got one thing they regret selling ,and this was mine !!!1

Hi Andy. Thanks for that info. Zodiac seems to ring a bell somewhere in the fog! Yes I was complimented on my sound at that time. I also regret selling it along with my Gibson 335 which I bought from our lead guitarist in 1962, so it must have been made around 1960. Hey Ho! Dave

Yes, I must hold my hand up too. I sold my Selmer Selectortone too in the ‘60’s and later asked myself, why did I do it? Did me and the Mrs really need a carpet in the dinning room that much? Well the answer to that was yes, I ‘spose so.
Learnt my lesson though. Don’t sell stuff now and have a room full of guitars, amps and bits and bobs. Might even have to buy another house to live in as we are edged out!
Anyone else going to be brave, own up and put their hand up?
Cheers
Mick

I also left home when I was 16 as the band I was in moved to Blackpool, I went there with a Dominator amp, but changed to a Zodiac, which if I remember had screw in legs, that then went in for a Vox Supertwin, then in the 70‘s a Simms Watt and then the big stacks!

I had a Selmer Twin Selectortone about 1964, I still have a 15W 1962 Selmer Stadium with 12" Audiom speaker.

So the Audiom's were also in the Selectortones as well as the early Vox AC 15's.

Yes, sorry, that's what I meant, a few years ago I bought an Audiom 60 and had a Vox15w type cabinet built for it, I run it with my 15w channel of my Vox AC30 H2 50th Anniversary .
