Hey guys, This wonderful song from 1885 is based on a Swedish traditional melody and a poem written by Carl Boberg. The story goes that the inspiration for the poem came when Boberg was walking home from church and listening to the church bells. A sudden thunderstorm got his attention. And then - just as suddenly as it had made its appearance - it subsided to a peaceful calm which Boberg observed over Mönsterås Bay ... Likely one of the most recorded songs ever - among others there are versions by Elvis and Cliff Richard. Best regards, Bernie
