Another Doller another day....and this time another AC15.
I've not listed this under "technical" because I don't think I have technical questions.........just a couple of general queries and I'm sure others will ask more.
So, is this new version of an AC15 really sonically better than previous AC15's?
What is known about the speaker installed in it?
did it need to be hand-wired, which in itself puts up the price, to achieve the sound it produces?
does being hand wired make it superior to factory circuit boards?
Why would anyone swop a current AC15 for one of these?
Over to you.
Cheers
Mick

It's a pity that the 12AX7 channel is the original Vib/trem channel and not a top boost channel which would have provided additional flexibility. The speaker is a Celestion Alnico silver.
There are a number of reviews (Google) that seem to attest to its nice sound.
Paul.

The best bang for the buck is still the AC15H1TV 50 anniversary amp... EF86 Channel and ECC83 (top boost) channel and quiet a few possibilities to alter the filters and grit. A Celestion blue and contrary the internet hoax about the speaker was made in China....it was not made in China!!!
Cheers Rob

Mine is one of the models with a mahogany cabinet so it looks good too! Cheers. Tony
