I had to come out of hiding yesterday for a "neccessary" car journey, which was getting some warm clothes to my son and his partner who are now back in Blighty after a 5yr stint in Hong Kong and the majority of their goods & chattels are still on a ship from China. They are now living in the east end of London off Commercial St, which meant I had to drive from South London and avoid Khan's rip off charge which for me and my Touareg is £27.50.......So just wondering why.. all the way through Streatham,Brixton,Elephant & Castle and across Tower Bridge there were dot-matrix signs advising London has the highest rate of infection so stay home (me included but...) there were thousands of people milling about and traffic was at near normal levels, now I think most weren't going shopping for food as the queue's would take all day to get into a shop and most didn't look like they were excercising. So even though I am not happy with total lockdown and all the problems it gives to schoolkids and every ones "economy", but with a vaccine around the corner it seems daft to not bite the bullet and just hang on, but human nature I suppose.......... Mike..

People don't seem to care as Covid is not going to happen to them anyway, just someone else, these are the idiots spreading it !

That's why it's spreading like wildfire Mike. None of us has enjoyed it, I count myself lucky that it hasn't hit my finances, but it's still been a horrible year. People today just seem unable to accept restrictions, God help them if they ever had to put up with the war as our parents and grandparents did. The situation wouldn't be half as bad as it is if everyone had just followed the rules.
