hi,i replaced mine last year the holes are 9.05mm,

There's nothing wrong with the stock tuners. It's one of the best guitars I've got for holding its tune.

I know Len but I like the locking ones The re stringing is very quick You can get locking tuners that look the same like what’s on the classic player. You can have the ones I take off Len

What’s always amazed me is the people that put a lower class of pickups in and say that it has improved the sound

hi, i put in kluson delux,the originals kept in tune very well except the first e string kept slipping would not stay in tune,i i took it apart,the worm gear was badly worn,the guitar was brand new at the time it is the sixtys anniversary model,they are great guitars

thats always been a mystery to me as well mick,about changing the pickups.i mean,this shads bussiness was started because fender pickups sound so good.i bet bruces or cliffs whichever strat still has the original 1959s in !!!
