Hi all again. Sorry for the persistent posts. My question is probably one for Charlie following on from my last post and the responses .
There is a Quadraverb Plus available on the well known auction site. The seller says it is a genuine unit. SERIAL NUMBER QV1119950. I was wondering whether I should get this unit and keep my other one as a back up. I also wonder when it was programmed and whether the lithium battery is ok. I am still worried about self programming as when I touch things like this they tend to go pear shaped. Thanks again to all for you kind support.

Hi Robert.
I am sure Charlie will answer you shortly. But the reason I reply is to talk you out of getting another one at high expense. Its not needed, you don't need a back up because they are realiable, ok you can get screen issues but thats about it. Once you buy the programme from Charlie and you loose the programme through something you have done, battery or whatever you put it back on and it takes a few minutes. Keep your money in your pocket and invest £50 in the programmes. If your that unsure about programming yourself, once you have bought the programme I will put it on for you for nothing with the exception of the postage. But we can walk you though this Robert.

Hi Robert, That serial number is registered with me and the seller sanddance 0191 is the only one on the well known auction site who is selling genuine programmed EFTP units arranged with me. It will have been programmed very recently. I don't know whether the battery will have been changed, perhaps you could ask. The batteries last for many years. Regards, Charlie

Thanks Tony and Charlie, I will have Charlie's patches. If Charlie picks this up perhaps he would let me know the amount and details.; I do have a Pay Pal account. I will use the unit as is for a while and then perhaps Tony you can help me out (where do you live and if you agree and it is not to far then perhaps at some stage I could bring the unit over. I live near Epsom in Surrey. I did ask the seller on the well known auction site about the battery in his Quadaverb and he says it is probably as old as the unit ( i.e quite old) however he said he would change it for £15. However I am following your advice and hanging onto my old unit. Many thanks again,
Robert

Would you believe it. I've been a club member for 5 minutes and signed on today for the first time as a member to see what's new and............. I discover I should have bought an echo machine from Sanddance and not the one I did, that was advertised at theame time on the well known auction site and ................. which I fully suspect now is loaded with "fake" EFTP. I see serial numbers of machines are involved here. Could I send the number to you and see for certain if my quest for that certain sound has been temporarily thwarted, and if so what I need to do to puts things right a....n....d at what further cost .
Cheers
Mick

Hi Mick, You are welcome to email me (and perhaps let me know who you purchased from, and the serial number of course, and perhaps scans of any documentation that came with it) but I will not be able to check Quad Plus serial numbers until the weekend. I do not have a full list because in the early days I did not record serial numbers. Regards, Charlie
