While I never cared for Led Zepplin or Jimmy Page, I don't think his guitar was out of tune in this performance. There was too much of what sounded like a flanger with too much feedback. Regards, Charlie

Probably a true story, but there are so many things that are actually made up, for example, the clicking in time on the Beatles Blackbird, I think it was Geoff Emerick who said that it was Paul tapping his foot on the floor whilst recording which is nonsense, it’s definitely some kind of click track.
Jeff Beck said about the “reverse” guitar at the end of Beck’s Bolero, Micky Most told him to play random notes with which he reversed to create the effect, rubbish, it’s a simple delay on a riff JB plays.
